Diagnosis

There’s no single test for COPD. It is possible to diagnose COPD during the early stages, by taking a detailed history about smoking or prolonged exposure to other forms of fumes/smoke/irritants, symptoms, physical examination and lung function test
called spirometry.

Spirometry is a test done with a small machine called a spirometer. It measures how well your lungs are functioning by recording the amount of air you breathe in and out of your lungs and the speed of your breath.

So, if you find that these symptoms haven’t left you in a while, it may be time to pay your doctor a visit get the problem identified and start treatment, so you can live a better life.
